LA VOIX HUMAINE

La Voix Humaine (1958) is a one-act, one-woman opera composed by Francis Poulenc. Based on the play written by Jean Cocteau, La Voix Humaine taps into an intimate conversation between separated lovers. Our adaptation glances into the life of a retired Hollywood actress in 1940s Paris amid this painful separation, battling the consequences of her career and her relationships.
